Whale Watching

How long is the whale watching cruise?

Boston’s Best Whale Watch runs on average 3-3 1/2 hours. Our captains want you to have the most time with the whales, so they take the most comfortable route out to and back from Stellwagen Bank (based on wind and waves).

Trips board at the Ferry Center at Long Wharf, across from Faneuil Hall Marketplace on the Christopher Columbus Park and the North End side of the Marriott Long Wharf Hotel.

What should I bring?

We recommend rubber soled shoes, sunglasses and a hat, and a warm sweater or jacket, even during summer.

Recommended:

Purchasing tickets ahead of time, online or in person, is recommended, especially on summer weekends and holidays. Please allow yourself time to park and walk to the Ferry Center. If purchasing tickets the day of travel, we strongly suggest that you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to departure time — again, especially on summer weekends and holidays.
