Outside Junior Ranger national park.
Let’s Move! Outside provides parents with the tools and information that make it easy to enjoy the Boston Harbor Islands, be active outdoors and find healthy things to do in Boston together with their children. It is part of First Lady Michelle Obama’s nationwide campaign to end childhood obesity within a generation. Young people inspire us; we want to help them be healthy and curious for life.
Regular exercise in nature is proven to improve children’s physical and mental health. Outdoor activity helps kids maintain a healthy weight, boosts their immunity and bone health and lowers stress. Let’s Move Outside, administered by the Department of Interior, was created to get kids and families to take advantage of American’s great outdoors-which abound in every city, town and community.
